Boat: Mare bos, Farr 40 OD
Mare bos, Farr 40 OD class boat arrived in Finland in 2012. The fastest ORCi boat in the archipelago received immediate attention among the sailing scene across the region. The boat is a 40-footer one design by Farr Yacht Design launched 1996. Originally the boat was designed to meet the standards of the IMS rule but the boat type has since then become much more popular – hence Farr 40 got its own one design class rule. Team members
Well before our average age hits 30 over half of the guys have been racing for over 10 years and sailing for most of their lives. Building on this experience we organized our team in 2012 and were lucky to find a group of true enthusiasts who wanted to do all it takes for the 2013 season.
